Die Kirgis Express Post (KEP) stellt die Briefmarkenserie aus, die den Jahrestagen der berühmten Weltkulturvertreter gewidmet sind: dem 750. Geburtstag von Dante Alighieri und dem 175. Geburtstag von Peter Tschaikowsky.
Dante Alighieri (1265 - 1321) war der große italienische Dichter, Theologe, Politiker und einer der Gründer der literarischen italienischen Sprache. Seine berühmte "Göttliche Komödie" wurde zu einer Art der Synthese der europäischen Spätmittelalter-Kultur.
Pjotr Iljitsch Tschaikowski (1840 - 1893) war der große russische Komponist, Dirigent, Lehrer und Autor von mehr als 80 Werken, darunter zehn Opern und drei Ballette. Die Werke von P. I. Tschaikowsky stellen einen wichtigen Teil der kirgisischen Theater-Repertoire dar.
