Joint stamp issue between Kyrgyzstan and Latvia02 October 2018
The new issue of KEP postage stamps is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Latvia. This is a joint issue between the two countries.
Friendly cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Latvia is developing, fruitfully, based on the principles of mutual trust and respect. This cooperation includes such spheres of activity as trade, economics, culture and humanitarianism.
The Kyrgyz and Latvian peoples both have ancient cultural traditions and an important part of these are folk epics. It is to these national epics of the Kyrgyz and Latvian peoples that the joint issue is dedicated. The postage stamps depict outstanding epic heroes: Kyrgyz Manas and Latvian Lachplesis, embodied in famous sculptural compositions.
Kyrgyz Express Post expresses confidence that the joint stamp issue between Kyrgyzstan and Latvia will be an excellent commemoration of the anniversary of diplomatic relations and will contribute to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between our countries and peoples.
