Fauna of Kyrgyzstan

On November 19th, 2014 Kyrgyz Express Post is issuing its second series of stamps “Fauna of Kyrgyzstan”. These stamps depict typical representatives of the Kyrgyz animal world: Saker Falcon, Yak, Central Asian Ibex and Snow Leopard.

Stamps and Souvenir Sheet description.

No. . 6. 15.00 KGS. Saker Falcon. Falco cherrug. A bird of prey that belongs to the Falconidae family.

No. 7. 25.00 KGS. Yak. Bos grunniens. A cloven-hoofed mammal, member of the Bovidae family.

No. 8. 125.00 KGS. Central Asian Ibex. Capra sibirica alaiana. A cloven-hoofed mammal that belongs to the Capra genus.

No. 9. 250.00 KGS. Snow Leopard. Panthera uncia. A large raptorial cat, member of the Felidae family.

Technical specifications.

Paper: coated, gummed, 105 g/m2.
Printing method: full-colour offset lithography. The KEP logo is performed by means of silk screen printing technology with ultra shine silver paint.
Stamps perforation: comb 14:14½.
Stamps size: 46.00 x 27.50 mm.
Sheet size: 113.00 x 80.00 mm.
Sheet composition: 4 (2x2) of different stamps and 4 (2x2) of stamp No. 9.
Quantity issued: stamps Nos. 6-8 - 15 000 pieces, stamp No. 9 - 30 000 pieces.
Designer: Vladimir Melnic.
Printer House: “Nova Imprim”.

A special cancellation on FDC will be carried out at the Bishkek KEP Office (729002) on the stamp issuing day.

The First Day Cover and special Postmark are designed by Vladimir Melnic.
FDC quantity issued: 300 copies. Printing method: full-colour offset. Endorsing ink colour: black.
