Joint stamp issue between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus16 October 2018
In 2018, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Belarus. The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in our country appealed to the Government of Kyrgyzstan with a proposal to implement, this year, a joint issue of postage stamps dedicated to this anniversary. The State Committee of Information Technologies and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic assigned the postal operator “Kyrgyz Express Post” the important mission of implementing this proposal.
Between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus there are long-standing friendly relations with fruitful cooperation in various fields: economy, foreign policy, trade, the social sphere, health, culture, education, etc. Also, our countries are dynamically developing cooperation within the framework of various international organizations.
As you know, KEP already has experience of fruitful joint work regarding the issue of stamps with the Republican Unitary Enterprise of Postal Communications "Belposhta". In 2017, a joint issue between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus was successfully implemented, dedicated to domestic breeds of horses. The stamps of this second joint issue represent the state symbols of the two countries. The sheet also features labels depicting emblematic species of fauna of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus - the Snow Leopard and the European Bison.
